Oh Doubt!

What are you to me? 

When Allah is my Forgiver when I falter,
When Allah is my Strength when I succeed? 

What business have you with me?

When Allah is the One Who sets for all their decree,
When Allah is the One Who calls to account for deed? 

For He it is Who owns me and my hopes, 
my ladder and the Rope.

For He it is Who guides me when sight I lose,
and all other lights fail, 
and from shades of darkness I am to choose.

Oh Doubt, savor of my soul no morsel, it will never be yours,
Allah is enough for all my want and need, 
to leave you starved, and for me from Him Yaqeen.
